About Me:
“I feel very proud to be part of the Caritas family. I and Dr Chauhan (my husband) started our practice in 2006 from the foundation of his mother’s tiny practice in a side street in Riverwood. We have, since then, come a long way to own and operate our current facility. This has all been possible with the continued support of our loyal patients and our dedicated staff. We have grown from a solo doctor practice to having 2 doctors, 5 staff, 4 allied health providers and 3 consulting rooms. The journey has been bumpy with many road blocks and a lot of hard work but it is all worth it and we can see that in the amazing feedback we get from our patients.
Being a migrant myself, I quite admire multiculturalism. I love chatting to our patients about their culture, their festivals, their food, their experiences and it is quite fascinating the many things we learn about other cultures and backgrounds. I am always looking forward to hearing from patients about their travel experiences and adventures and places to eat and places to shop. You may even find me talking to patients in my mother tongue Hindi.
Hobbies and Interests:
I love to spend time at home when possible with my 4 kids – 2 human kids and 2 guinea pig kids. The latter two of course are the more adorable ones, they don’t answer back or argue – just saying not picking sides here.
When I am not working in my home office, I like to do some arts and craft activities like colouring, dot paintings, puzzles and the like. You may notice one of my works in the practice. I have special interest in crochet, knitting, embroidery and stitching.
I love watching TV for relaxation, so if you want to have a chat about a movie or TV series on Netflix or Prime or Bollywood gossip I am all ears.
I pride myself in my organisational skills, folders, colour coding, labelling etc. I am always exploring new and innovative methods to make the patient experience as smoothe and efficient as possible.
I am a big fan of Bollywood dancing. Having done some training when I was a student and teaching girls here at my daughter’s school, has made me realise my great love for dancing and I engage in this hobby as a regular thing if and when time permits.
I like to play board games with the kids when they have time.
I am at the practice most morning sessions, so please come and have a chat and share your stories. I always look forward to hearing people’s experiences. Caritas is very close to my heart and I love working here amongst all the lovely staff and the wonderful patients and their families”.
